The mission of Too Much Fun can be found in its title – simply to have as much musical fun as possible. The majority of the album’s 12 songs, though they may sound live, were in fact meticulously multi-tracked and produced by the recording duo of Pearce Gronek and Fletcher Barton, known under the moniker Lonely Pirate Committee.

Instead of worrying about each song from an outsider’s perspective, the pair set out to amuse themselves first and foremost, intricately weaving humor and musical inside jokes into what may otherwise seem like rather serious songwriting. The album strikes a delicate balance between light and dark, celebrating the absurdity and chaos of life.

As the culmination of more than a decade of influences and musical exploration, Too Much Fun is by far the most detailed and expansive effort from LPC to date.
